Role DescriptionThis full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager role is on-site in Waco, TX, at Fuego Tortilla Grill. The Assistant Manager will be in a high-profile, high-volume, high-energy role requiring unique leadership skills.The Assistant Restaurant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure customer satisfaction, manage customer service, hire staff, and maintain effective communication in the food & beverage industry. As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to maintain high quality, service, and cleanliness standardswhile exceeding customer expectations.QualificationsExperience in Hiring and CommunicationMonitor and maintain restaurant P&L and financial performance, including inventory control and labor managementExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAccountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor, and cash control within budget.Oversee staff in all aspects of operations, purchasing, receiving, storing, handling, processing, cooking, packaging, serving, catering and disposing of all food productsControl restaurant cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures by restaurant policies and proceduresCreate and maintain a positive and efficient work environment while promoting a culture of teamwork and excellenceTrain, guide, and develop team members to provide exceptional customer service and product qualityFully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, team members, and guestsResponsible for taking a proactive approach to guest relations; spend time on the floor interacting with guestRespond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate action to turn dissatisfied guests into return guestsConduct regular meetings with staff to review overall performance, provide feedback, and address any concerns or issuesCollaborate with the General Manager on marketing and promotional initiatives to drive sales and increase brand awarenessBe a positive and productive member of the community and have a strong presence at local organizations and activitiesShow recognition throughout the teamStay updated on industry trendsRequirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-food dining environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team membersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindsetProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targetsKnowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety, sanitation, catering and inventory managementMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to lift min of 50 poundsHigh school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or business management is a plus
