Production Supervisor

Job ResponsibilitiesEnsures direct reports abide by the SH&E policies while performing tasks resulting in a quality product treated to customer specifications.Oversees oil tank car unloading.Responsible for the operation of the treating plant's waste water system and maintains compliance with the POTW.Oversees the gas fired boiler for the treating process by ensuring it is running efficiently.Aides in maintaining the ISO system by conducting internal audits.In charge of the treating of railroad ties to meet customer specifications.Any other duties assigned by management.This position has 10 direct reports.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; BS in Wood Science or Business preferred.3 years of manufacturing experience1 year of supervisory experience; 3-5 years of management experience in wood treating or chemical process manufacturing preferredSH&E awareness requiredStrong communication and organizational skillsExperience in a union environmentTeam playerExperience with Microsoft Office ProductsAbility to set priorities and analyze problemsKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
