Our client, a growing Houston area law firm, is ready to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal. .Essential FunctionsDraft and prepare written discoveryAssist with drafting complaints, motions, and briefsPerform basic legal researchE-File in State and Federal CourtAssist with preparation and filing of pleadingsManage litigation calendar and track case-related datesPrepare for trials - organizing exhibits, files, and all other case documents, coordinating trial set-up and logistics and assist attorneys in the courtroom as neededQualificationsAbility to prioritize, organize, multi-task and problem solveExcellent writing, organization, and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPointFamiliarity with both State and Federal Courts' rules and proceduresFamiliarity with law, legal procedures, and protocolsKnowledge and understanding of eDiscoveryPreferred Education and ExperienceCollege degree, paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of skills and experience4 or more years of experience working as a litigation ParalegalThis is a direct hire/permanent opportunity and is in the office Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
