Groundsman / Server

Private household in Monroe, NY, is seeking a versatile and personable groundskeeper/server to maintain and improve our property facilities and grounds as well as support various daily tasks within our food and beverage service, as needed. The ideal candidate is hospitality minded, has broad maintenance/landscaping skills, and is able work both independently and as part of a team.This is a live-out position in a dynamic, growing household where professionalism and discretion are key, but the environment is relaxed and not overly formal. This is a full-time, Year-round, role which consists of a 5-day flex workweek from 7:30am - 4pm, with flexibility to work longer hours and weekends when needed. Must be available for occasional emergency calls. Some weekend rotation required. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, adaptable, and organized with a "no task too big or too small" attitude.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform general building maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting)Maintain grounds, including lawn care, snow removal, and landscape upkeepConduct regular property inspections and preventive maintenanceHandle emergency maintenance situations as neededKeep maintenance supplies organized and well-stockedMaintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working conditionDocument completed work and maintenance recordsAssist with lunch/dinner parties/events and setupAny additional Server roles and responsibilities as needed and requested by PrincipalsRequirements:Strong command of the English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent references from current and/or previous employersMinimum 2 years' experience in building maintenance or facilities managementStrong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)Experience with grounds maintenance equipment and landscaping toolsBasic computer skills for maintenance tracking and communicationStrong problem-solving abilitiesMust be flexible with scheduleMust have strong time management, punctuality, and multi-tasking skillsProfessional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion at all timesReliable transportationValid drivers license and clean driving recordLegally able to work in the United StatesPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions and incorporate extended hoursCapable of climbing ladders and working at heightsMust be able to bend, kneel, and lift heavy objectsComfortable working in various weather conditionsPreferred Qualifications:Technical certification in building maintenance or related fieldExperience with power tools and heavy equipment operationKnowledge of building codes and safety regulationsSwimming pool maintenance experienceHVAC certificationKnowledge and comfort with both casual and formal dining service
