Field Technician IV - On Wing ServicesPay range ***** $65,000.00 - $75,000.00/y** New Jersey / New York AreaAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a field technician to join our team. As a field technician, you will join our team of technicians, based within a 120-minute drive from the Teterboro, NJ airport or the Bradley airport in Windsor Locks, CT area, supporting aviation customers and aircraft manufacturers. In this role, you will provide maintenance, repair, and inspections on aircraft engines both domestically and internationally. You must be able to pass a required eye exam, lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and travel domestically and/or internationally up to 100%.Innovate and Power the WorldIn this role, you will have the opportunity to travel to locations within the US and around the world to maintain and repair aircraft. While we encourage specialization, we also offer freedom to cross-specialize and develop skills across a number of different areas.Key *Comply with work scope instructions as directed by our Maintenance Operations ControlCompetently disassemble, clean, re-assemble, and repair engines and modulesUse troubleshooting logic to identify defects in components or partsAccess and use engine data materials such as AMM, EMM, IPC, etc.Understand, interpret, and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives, and Technical Variances when applicableMust be able to obtain and maintain repair station inspection approvalBasic *High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with 4+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, ORAssociate degree with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experienceFAA Airframe & Power Plant LicensePreferred **Prior Gas turbine engine experiencePrior customer relations experienceEngine or Aircraft logbook familiarityPrior FAR145 repair station experienceAbility to act in a lead capacity as directed by our Maintenance Operations ControlUnderstanding of basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel functionalityJoin us, and you'll develop your skills and expertise to the very highest levels, working in an international environment for a company known the world over for brilliance and innovation.
