Machinist

Responsibilities The Lathe Machinist position is part of the Machine Department Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):Perform set up on manual lathes and CNC lathesVerifies conformance of finished work piece(s) to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers and micrometersReviews drawings, instructions, blueprints to ensure accurate productionLoads and unloads parts, operating multiple machines as neededStays on task and ensures current day scheduled work is completed on timeMaintains an organized, safe, and clean work areaPerforms other duties as assigned.Requirements Completion of a technical program in machining preferredThree to Five years of manual machining experience on a latheThree years' experience setting up manual machinesStrong problem solving and math skillsExperience using calipers, micrometers, and gaugesExperience in reading blueprints.Experience with ProtoTRAK preferred but not required.
