Description Serve as legal counsel to Union Pacific Railroad. Union Pacific is looking for a legal professional with technology procurement, contracting, technology, intellectual property, privacy and compliance experience. Union Pacific has one open position in the Law Department at UPs Omaha headquarters. The Assistant General Attorney will serve as a commercial and transactional lawyer, advising the Senior Counsel, the Vice President of Law, and the Chief Legal Officer on the successful resolution of various matters. The successful candidate will support multiple business units, serve as an active and dynamic issue spotter, and provide creative resolutions for technology procurement, and contracting transactions, intellectual property, privacy, and technology contractual matters. The Assistant General Attorney will have a minimum of two years of experience, specifically with procurement and technology contracting, intellectual property, privacy as well as excellent negotiating, drafting, and problem-solving skills. This is a pay-for-performance program which administers annual salary adjustments, cash incentive bonuses and stock equity as determined by individual performance, company performance and program guidelines.
