Weve been engaged by a top national law firm to identify a Legal Executive Assistant to join their Personal Injury team!This position will provide comprehensive administrative and organizational support to the Personal Injury Departments practice group leader. Responsibilities include day-to-day calendar management; complex scheduling involving multiple parties, entities and organizations; prepare for and manage internal and external meetings; attend meetings, take and distribute notes, and track and facilitate tasks and responsibilities assigned to others; effectively communicate with others of varying personalities and professions; prepare presentations using PowerPoint; prepare management reports as requested by the Department leadership utilizing Excel; coordinate the registration, attendance and travel for scheduled events; and maintain attorney registration and CLE attendance.Legal Assistant responsibilities include the set-up and maintenance of large electronic and paper files; the request for medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records; electronic filing in both state and federal courts; calculating and calendaring state and federal statutory deadlines; scheduling of depositions, meetings, hearings and trials, etc., and coordinate associated travel; and direct client contact.The position *****At least 3-5 years of legal experience assisting with drafting legal documents, the electronic filing of pleadings, calendaring statutory deadlines, understanding legal terminology2-3 years of experience providing administrative support to executive-level, senior leadership staff or senior attorneysExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTime management and organization skills to handle multiple tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain order in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail to ensure accuracyInterpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with clients and legal personnel, and to work effectively in a team settingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to prepare documents, presentations and reportsProficiency with legal software to manage case files, track deadlines, and conduct researchProblem-solving skills to anticipate and address potential issues, streamline team operations, and support attorneys in case managementAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
