Learn more at .ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Media Planner will be the conduit between clients/account management and the media disciplines (paid search, programmatic, paid social, broadcast, OOH, and direct mail). This individual will work with account management and media SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to strategically execute against clients' media objectives, goals, and expectations with best-in-class planning solutions. The Media Planner will have a close working relationship with all the SMEs to concept, build, and execute a media plan. This individual will be instrumental in advocating for the approval of these plans and will participate in client meetings and presentations that outline media objectives, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and budget.This position is the hub of all media and will be expected to work collaboratively across both traditional and digital as a contributor to business development efforts. In addition to creating strategic media plans for clients, this Media Planner will be instrumental in supporting the Group Media Director to identify and merchandise media success stories and case studies for use in client presentations and new business pitches.MEDIA PLANNER INTERNAL ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate and build strong relationships with the SMEsWith consideration to budget and Client goals, build best-in-class, cross-channel media recommendations that achieve Client objectives and media KPIsCreate and maintain media flowcharts and ATBs across all media channelsBuild and maintain strong Client relationshipsResponsible for developing client media plans as needed depending on client goals and budget cyclesCollaborate and work cross-departmentally to refine processes that strengthen the planning and execution processReconcile and actualize the previous months media from planned to actual budgetsResponsible for the presentation and communication of the previous months' media reporting/KPI achievement, providing the Client with thoughtful insights on the next steps and updated media recommendationsEnsure that we achieve 100% accuracy and deliver on goalsLeverage AdScience as a tool to help guide strategic planning input and recommendationsPrioritize deliverables and maintain deadlines; effectively communicate any delays in deadlinesActs as an escalation point of contact internally for Client issues and/or internal challengesConsistently look for ways to innovate and leverage new processes to drive efficiency and/or innovationBe curious. Invest in a better understanding of the traditional and digital media landscape and apply those learnings to grow clients' businesses and media performanceBegins to apply leadership in the form of a mentor to the Jr. Planner on the teamThrives and excels in a fast-paced environment.Other duties as assignedMEDIA PLANNER EXTERNAL CLIENT-FACING RESPONSIBILITIESWork with the SMEs to execute against all client requests and inquiries, and proactively address any challenges clients have with specific media channelsAbility to communicate and articulate the media mix and media approach to clientsProves to be an expert across traditional and digital mediaTakes an active interest in understanding our clients' industries and brand categories and ensures the media mix aligns with client objectives and organizational goalsMonitor industry changes and build that innovation into clients' optimizationsWork closely with the Group Media Director and Account teams to regularly showcase these learnings externally to clients.
