Job DetailsDescriptionJOB OVERVIEWAs a committed, proactive Front of House Manager, you will work with the theatre GeneralManager to hire and train Front of House staff, and ensure that patrons receive excellent drinks,food, and service. The role of a Front of House Manager is to supervise and coordinate the entirefront of house team. They must ensure the guest receives a warm welcome and that service runssmoothly.You will also manage bar inventory and resources pertaining to the Front of House, helping themarketing team with promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed,maintain current licenses, create schedules, and work with the operations team to set businessobjectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction. You should also be able towork with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.This job requires you to work during the evening, on weekends, and occasionally on holidays.RESPONSIBILITIESJob Duties include but are not limited to:â–ª Ensuring all staff complies with company policy.â–ª Training staff to follow restaurant procedures.â–ª Maintaining a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere for guests and employees.â–ª Maintaining safety and food quality standards.â–ª Keeping guests happy and handling complaints.â–ª Creating/Organizing schedules.â–ª Keeping track of employees' hours.â–ª Recording payroll data.â–ª Ordering food, linens, gloves for Front of House and other supplies while staying within budgetlimitations.â–ª Supervising daily shift operations.â–ª Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed.â–ª Coordinating daily Front and Back of House restaurant operations.â–ª Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste.â–ª Appraising staff performance.â–ª Interviewing/recruiting new employees.â–ª Interacting with Guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels.â–ª Be an expert of the food and drink menus to ensure dishes and drinks are being made andserved correctly.â–ª Work the expo line from time to time.â–ª Be fully knowledgeable about the bar and all our drinks.â–ª Help bartenders make drinks.â–ª Help your staff deliver food to tables.â–ª Cleaning.â–ª You will likely find yourself doing a wide variety of tasks each time you work. You mightsell tickets, but still help a guest at concessions or lend a hand cleaning an auditoriumbetween shows.â–ª Completing any other duties as delegated or directed by your supervisor.QUALIFICATIONSâ–ª Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire.â–ª If 21 years or older at any bar location, R-Serving is required and must be willing and able topour at least basic drinks.â–ª If there is a religious reason as to why alcohol cannot be served, an official religiousexemption in writing needs to be provided.â–ª Must be able to run errands and provide current driver license and vehicle insurance.â–ª Must have the availability to open and/or close regularly.â–ª Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.â–ª Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.â–ª Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.â–ª Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.â–ª Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.â–ª Decisiveness.â–ª Observant and the ability to think critically and efficiently.â–ª Skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical demands include but are not limited to:â–ª The employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, handle, or feel, reach withhands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch. Reasonable accommodations for disabilitieswill be provided, both short term and permanent.â–ª Frequently move, stock, and transport boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.â–ª Mental stamina to make it through stressful and busy times.â–ª Ability to work in high temperature/ low temperature environments, as in work aroundhot fryers, grills, and flattops, and grabbing stock or putting away stock in the freezer.
