Job Title: Content Strategist- Loyalty Program & ActivationLocation: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite)SummaryRockwoods is seeking a Content Strategist focused on Loyalty Programs & Activation to support our client based in Tysons Corner, VA. This hybrid role requires 4 days onsite weekly and deep expertise in loyalty programs and member activation. The successful candidate will lead the content strategy for our client's customer engagement ecosystem. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing multi-channel content that drives loyalty, deepens emotional connections, and increases customer lifetime value. You will oversee the development of compelling, high-performing content across email, web, mobile app, push notifications, SMS, and in-product messaging.Essential FunctionsLoyalty Content Strategy & ExecutionDesign and own the end-to-end content strategy for our loyalty and rewards program, aligning with business objectives and brand voice.Craft messaging that enhances the loyalty journey"”from acquisition and onboarding to engagement, retention, and reactivation.Clearly and concisely explain the value and benefits of the loyalty program to a broad range of audiences, making complex program elements easy to understand and act on.Multi-Channel Content DevelopmentWrite and edit engaging, action-oriented content for email campaigns, website and landing pages, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, and digital ads.Collaborate with product, marketing, UX, and CRM teams to ensure content is personalized, timely, and performance-driven.Email Campaign LeadershipLead content planning and copy development for triggered, transactional, lifecycle, and promotional emails.Partner with designers, analysts, and marketers to test and optimize subject lines, calls to action, segmentation, and personalization sights & OptimizationMonitor content performance metrics across channels, continuously iterate and optimize based on A/B tests, behavioral insights, and campaign analytics.Stay up to date with industry trends in loyalty marketing, content personalization, and omnichannel engagement.Governance & ConsistencyMaintain editorial guidelines, brand tone, and messaging frameworks that ensure consistency across all loyalty touchpoints.Lead content calendar planning and work cross-functionally to prioritize high-impact initiativesStay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in content marketing, AI, ML, and related technologies.Education and ExperienceEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.10+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or CRM, with a strong focus on loyalty programs and multi-channel activation.Proven ability to write compelling copy for diverse digital channels with a focus on email marketing and customer engagement.Strong ability to distill complex loyalty features into clear, benefit-driven language that resonates with members.Deep understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, behavioral triggers, segmentation, and personalization.Experience working in B2C, especially in financial services, retail, or hospitality sectors.Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable), CMS tools, and A/B testing frameworks.Exceptional communication, storytelling, and project management skills.Strategic thinker with a hands-on, data-informed approach to content.Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., FINRA, CFPB, CAN-SPAM, GDPR) in financial communications.Excellent grammar, attention to detail, and consistency in tone and voice.Experience in personal finance, banking, insurance, credit, or investing.Understanding of customer retention, loyalty, and referral programs.Experience with customer research or A/B testing platforms.
