An established law firm in Greenville, SC is seeking a Paralegal for their team. The candidate will be responsible for administrative case management and litigation support as well as handling sensitive firm and client information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.Essential Job **Supporting attorneys with a variety of duties, including drafting correspondence and communicating with clients, other legal counsel, and professionals.Filing and records management - e.g., organizing client files, trial binders.Scheduling court reporting and videographer services.Formatting briefs, pleadings and other legal documentsFiling legal documents (e-filling skills are preferred)Corresponding with clientsConduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessmentsDraft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the courtPrepare privilege logsPerform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.)Maintain pleadings and discovery indexesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendicesAid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requestsGather relevant information from a variety of sourcesLiaise between trial teams and internal/external third partiesProvide assistance with case settlementsPrepare exhibits to motionsNecessary Knowledge, Skills and *Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteHands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)Professional attitude and appearanceSolid written and verbal communication skillsAbility to be resourceful and proactive when issues ariseExcellent organizational skillsMultitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksCustomer service attitudeExperience in the legal industry as a paralegal required.Proficient at learning new technology.Motivated problem-solver.Professional demeanor, reliable, punctual, team-oriented.Self-starter, excellent attention to detail, highly organized, accurate, able to multi-task.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.Consistent availability during normal business hours.College degree preferred but equivalent experience is acceptable.Educational and Experience *High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plusParalegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferredPrior litigation experience required.Work Environment and Physical **In office positionAbility to work extended hours when necessaryNormal office environment; no unusual physical demands
