This includes projects that customers have hired SEACOMP to design and manufacture on their behalf as well as internal projects that require engineering resources.Duties/Responsibilities:Work closely with SEACOMP sales and engineering leadership to develop engineering proposals and project plansOwn project scope, budget, schedule and qualityTrack and report key project metrics internally and externallyUpdate and maintain project plans and documentationLead regular project status meetings with relevant external and internal stakeholdersManage projects from engineering start, through new product introduction (NPI) and into mass productionIdentify and mitigate risks and obstacles to the success of each projectInteract with sales, engineering, production, quality, sourcing and any other departments as needed to meet project objectivesTravel occasionally to customer locations and SEACOMP factories in service of project objectivesJob Competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Teamwork -Builds cooperation and works both independently and as a team member to meet project goalsStrategic Thinking - Develops strategies to achieve goalsCustomer Service - Responds promptly to stakeholder needsInterpersonal Skills - Remains open to others ideas and tries new thingsEthics - Inspires the trust of others; Works ethically and with integritySelf-Motivation - Demonstrates persistence, speed, and overcomes obstaclesQuality - Looks for ways to improve and promote qualityInnovation - Develops innovative approaches and novel ideas for continuous improvementLanguageMust demonstrate advanced professional competency in English, including speaking, listening, reading and writingSkills in Spanish are not required, but are a plusSkills in Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese are not required, but are a plusEducation / Experience Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering highly preferred1-2 years of project management experience3+ years in product development, experience with New Product Introduction and/or scaling products into volume manufacturingPassing the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification exam will be required if not already heldBenefits:401k: SEACOMP 401k plan with up to 4% matchingHealth Insurance: SEACOMP Medical, Dental and Vision PlansPaid Time Off: 15 days annually + HolidaysWellness BenefitH1B Visa Sponsorship Not Offered
