Furnace Mechanic

A large manufacturing company is looking for a skilled mechanic to join our team. This role carries a wide range of mechanical duties large to small scale depending on need. You will be responsible for safely performing maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. The candidate must be proficient in repairing heat-treating furnaces and manufacturing equipment. Ability to read blueprints, drawings or take measurements to plan new or complete repair projects is a plus. The applicant should be able to work well unsupervised and, in a team setting. The candidate must be able to repair mechanical failure with the ability to learn and adapt under different circumstances. Ability to Operate various shop equipment (drill press, grinder, belt sander)Diagnose and repair industrial machinery including pumps, conveyors, furnaces and ovensUnderstanding of lubrication systems, Pneumatics, and hydraulicsPriorities repairs Maintain, repair, troubleshoot & upgrade equipment.Perform Preventative Maintenance & record results.Strong mechanical aptitude required.Equipment repairs as necessary, including sourcing replacement parts from inventoryRigging or millwright experience a plus.Full time position with many company benefits.
