Job Description

Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Mechanical Planner III position will develop and manage work instructions for mechanical maintenance and modifications, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. Responsibilities include procurement recommendations, work package execution, field walkdowns, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams. The role also involves reviewing maintenance procedures, managing system planners or contractors, and participating in scheduling and troubleshooting meetings. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.Pay rate: $53.55 - $79.65Benefits:Sick Leave: One hour of paid sick leave for every 40-hours worked (sick leave can be used after 90-days of employment) EAP: Employee Assistance Programa Benefit Options: Medical, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (eligible after one year and 1,000 hours worked - employer match up to 4%) Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: Plan and prepare work instructions for mechanical and contract maintenance projects and modificationsSelect and approve purchases or make procurement recommendations for materials needed for work package executionConduct field walkdowns to analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities and improve work package qualityCollaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issuesDefine procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required for planned work packagesFacilitate package preparation by submitting necessary documentation, including OOS's, RWP's, impairments, welding/grinding permits, and regulatory/code compliance documentsVerify work instructions to ensure compliance with station procedures, NSP's, NSWP's, ASME Code, and other standardsApprove and review work packages for safety, quality, technical rigor, and regulatory screeningDevelop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to enhance work package development and maintain complianceManage system planners or contractors to develop detailed elements of package preparationParticipate in scheduling meetings, contract reviews, troubleshooting sessions, risk assessments, peer reviews, and system interaction discussions to support station processesRequirements:A bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations, Maintenance Planning). OR An associate's degree from an accredited college or university and 8 years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning). OR A high school diploma or GED and technical training or education similar to that acquired through an in-grade apprenticeship program for maintenance related work and 6 years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning). OR A high school diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning). Educational experience from an accredited college or university will be considered year for year in exchange for work experience in a technical area.2 years of experience in a nuclear environment is highly desired but not requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in computer systems and applicationsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesCapability to obtain Planner I qualificationWorking knowledge of nuclear power plant work management and planning processesUnderstanding of safety regulations in a power plant environmentFamiliarity with ALARA requirementsKnowledge of nuclear security operations, regulations, and requirementsTime management and prioritization skills to enhance plant and equipment reliabilityAbility to meet short- and long-term commitments to internal and external customersSkilled at building and maintaining effective working relationshipsStrong business acumen and decision-making skillsAbility to set and achieve clear, measurable goals using performance metricsExpertise in technical report writing and trend analysisCapability to improve processes and develop more efficient business practicesWork sponsorship is not available at this time.
