Hytec is growing our support in the elevator industry and is looking for a qualified individual with technical experience in the various OEM systems like Schindler, Otis, Kone, etc. Apply today!Job OverviewThe Elevator Technician will build and troubleshoot elevator simulators.Duties/Responsibilities:Work with technicians to build and trouble shoot elevator simulatorsAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose problems on circuit boards to the component levelUnderstand and utilize elevator simulators to test boards and ensure repairs meet specificationsTroubleshoots and repairs or corrects problems, which may include repairs and revisions to hardware (disassembly and reassembly equipment) and software (investigation of programming code for mistakes).Uses tools such as electronic voltmeters and oscilloscopes to test the performance of circuit boards or assemblies, documents procedures and test results.Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of system components, frameworks, and foundations, and to select installation equipment.Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Basic understanding of electric circuit design.Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systemsAbility to trouble shoot to the component levelThorough understanding of diagnostic and repair tools including oscilloscopes and multimeters.Ability to read blueprints and electronics schematics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Education and Experience:Elevator Technician Certification requiredMust be a licensed elevator repair technicianAt least ten years of elevator repair experience requiredVocational or associates degree in Electronics preferredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on components.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
