Injection Molding Technician

OverviewThe Injection Molding Technician is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting of the injection molding processes and related equipment. The technician will ensure that the necessary adjustments are made to the equipment so that the processes run efficiently. Essential FunctionsResponsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, including, but not limited to, set-up and tear-down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and workflowWork with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements; making adjustments as requiredProvide molded components promptly to ensure production schedules are metGenerate documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibilityWork with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new productsFollow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment.Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems and connections between Tool/Die and the machines.Analyze, install, test, and review machine settings to increase operating efficiencyDraft and perform mold validationsComplete required paperwork routing/setup sheet, timesheet, etc.Confer with Supervisor, area leaders, programmers, engineers, or others to resolve molding or assembly issuesInput and/or retrieve the correct program code from the machine and networkQualificationsMinimum of 5 years experience in injection molding or similarHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent organizational skills.Understanding of IM codesExperience with Process Control DocumentationAbility to develop setting sheets and setting parameters for current and new productsRanger Robot Program a plusMust have good oral and written communication.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Able to stand for long periods of timeBilingual in Spanish/English a plusCOMPUTER **Basic knowledge of computers including MS Office, Email, etc.WHAT WE **Competitive baseMedical Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)HSA, FSA, Commuter BenefitsMedical DiscountsAncillary BenefitsAccident, Critical Illness, Hospital InsuranceVoluntary, Spouse, and Child Life InsurancePet InsuranceEmployee Discount Programs401k matchingPaid time off (including 15 PTO days and 10 holidays)Humanscale is an Equal Opportunity Employer (Disabled/Veteran)
