VP Aviation is seeking several Aircraft Avionics Technicians for MRO maintenance on regional aircraft offering highly competitive pay rates!About VP **VP Aviation was founded to provide quality aircraft maintenance services to MROs, Airlines and Repair Stations nationwide. Our maintenance teams consist of AOG, Projects and Hourly employees. We are a fast-growing company where honesty and loyalty are our key values.This is a contract position with the opportunity to be long term.Repair, modify, install, and perform routine maintenance of all Avionics systems with accuracy and with minimal assistance.Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and company.Apply deductive reasoning to troubleshoot and repair and/or check complex systems.Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment.Properly utilized and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations. Keep leadership and coworkers apprised of work progress and/or problems.Accurately document work performed as set forth by company and customer maintenance programs on a daily basis using the standard format. Prepare routine reports and correspondence.Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.Other duties may be assigned.***Minimum of 2 years of work experience, or substantiated equivalent experience.Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) is a plus.FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License is preferred.GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certification is a plus.Certifications from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training is preferred.Must have tools.Ability to effectively communicate in English aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.Must be comfortable with 12-hour shift work, which includes days / nights and weekends.
