We are looking for a full-time Physician Associate to join our young joint practice with Dr.RobertBurnett, Assistant Professor, Orthopedic Surgery, Adult Reconstruction and Replacement with Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH. This is a wonderful opportunity for a driven, hard-working PA looking to grow with our already busy clinical practice. We are searching for a person that is excited to take on a leadership role in providing inertia in the operating room, unparalleled customer service in the clinic, and that is eager to work with a growing team of people dedicated to the care of patients with osteoarthritis. Applicants with a proactive mindset that are interested in taking on new learning challenges as well as performance based compensation are welcome!!This position will be based out of the Western Suburbs of Chicago, with clinics at Westchester, Joliet and Naperville and OR's at RUSH University Medical Center, RUSH Oak Park, Elmhurst and various ASCs. As a PA, job responsibilities will include both clinic and OR.Responsibilities· Close collaboration with existing team (Doc, Nurse, administrative assistants, physical therapist)· OR day management and leadership· Clinical assistance including ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided steroid injections (will teach on the job should this be needed)· Educate patients and families as appropriate and provides continuity of care including conducting live teaching classes· Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination independently· Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.· Travel with Physician as required· Assistance with medical legal as well as workman's compensation patients within scope of practiceEducation And/or Experience• BA/BS, MS preferred; graduate of AMA accredited PA program• Current Illinois state PA license• Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants• Current CPR CertificationIndustryHospitals and Health CareEmployment TypeFull-time
