Social Service Specialist6-month CTHHopkinsville, KYPosition **We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Service Specialist to evaluate and monitor social service programs within long-term care facilities. This role involves conducting complaint investigations, inspecting for licensure compliance, and ensuring the rights and welfare of residents in healthcare facilities. The position requires extensive in-state travel, occasional weekend work, and overnight stays. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in social work, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable populations.Key *Conduct licensure and certification inspections for healthcare facilities.Investigate complaints regarding regulatory violations, medically related social services, and resident rights.Serve as part of a survey team for facility licensure, certification, or complaint investigations.Evaluate and monitor social service programs in long-term care facilities on an as-needed basis.Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and identifying areas of non-compliance.Lead or participate in certification, re-licensure, and complaint investigation efforts.Interpret regulations to determine compliance and ensure proper documentation and reporting.Participate in training, conferences, and webinars to stay updated on regulatory standards.Utilize technology, including computers and tablets, for reporting and communication tasks.Desired Skills and * Master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.(*** Bachelor's degree with five years of professional social work experience.)** At least three years of professional social work experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Licensed social worker in KYFlexibility in work schedules and assignments, including overtime as needed.Proficiency in using technology for daily operations.Physical stamina to navigate large healthcare facilities for extended periods during inspections.Background in healthcare or long-term care settings is a plus.Why Join Us?
