Location: Richardson, TXPay: $150,000/year-$160,000/year (could offer more based on experience)Shift: 4 days a week (flexible schedule) + every other Saturday (8 AM - 12 PM)Relocation Assistance: May be considered depending on experience and backgroundCompany Overview:We are a well-established, state-of-the-art small animal hospital dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care while fostering lasting relationships with our clients. Our clinic has recently undergone remodeling to ensure a welcoming and modern environment, equipped with advanced technologies such as a full in-house Heska laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. We focus on delivering compassionate care and maintaining a positive, supportive work environment for all our team members.Position Overview:We are looking for an Assistant Veterinarian to join our team as one of our experienced vets prepares for retirement in October. This position will be kept under wraps until the official announcement, but we're excited to bring on a talented professional who can work closely with the current team and take over established clients during the transition.We aim to hire and onboard the new Assistant Veterinarian around July, so there will be ample time for training and mentoring before the current vet retires. Once hired, the new veterinarian will take over client care and will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with long-standing clients.Responsibilities:Foster and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients.Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of small animal cases.Perform surgical procedures (soft tissue surgery) with opportunities for mentorship, if needed.Provide leadership and guidance to the talented support team.Promote a positive, team-oriented culture and work environment.Deliver compassionate, high-quality medical care in a welcoming, sterile, and state-of-the-art clinic.Requirements:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Texas.At least 2 years of veterinary experience (1+ year of experience considered for highly motivated candidates).Comfortable and confident in performing soft tissue surgeries.Passionate about high-quality care and committed to continuous learning.Strong ethical values, integrity, and a collaborative spirit.Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and support team members.Highly organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail.Benefits:401(k) with match eligibility.Health insurance.Generous paid time off (PTO).Continuing education (CE) expenses covered.
