Position OverviewWe are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at our front desk. The ideal candidate will have excellent phone etiquette, familiarity with working in a medical office, and the ability to provide a welcoming and efficient experience for all patients.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for front desk receptionist duties, including answering phone calls, greeting patients, obtaining required patient information, and ensuring the entrance area is clean and organized.Assist patients with scheduling appointments.Effectively maintain on-time appointment schedules by notifying providers when patients have arrived.Retrieve and file patient records as needed.Collect payment from patients.Maintain accurate patient records by updating patient information and scanning documents into EMR as needed.Protect patient rights by maintaining the confidentiality of patient records.Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requested.QualificationsPrevious experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role preferred.High school diploma or GED preferred.Strong communication and phone etiquette skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for patient care.Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
