Addiction Psychiatrist

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital, now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Addiction Psychiatrist in its Life Recovery Center (Department of Psychiatry). Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of the Center's outpatient program for substance use and behavioral disorders and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in the provision of patient care. Participating in behavioral/medical codes, performance improvement, quality assurance, and risk management activities are also essential components of the position. Additional responsibilities involve supervising academic activities for residents, fellows, medical students, and observers/externs.Qualified candidates must be board certified/eligiblein Psychiatry and have residency training from an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry program, along with an accredited fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry. New York State medical license and active DEA registration are required.We offer a competitive salary of $270,000, as well as a projected bonus of up to $20,000 and comprehensive benefits.
