LCSW - School Based- Manhattan

A school network in New York City is actively seeking a driven and dynamic LCSW to join their growing staff. In this role, the LCSW will work with a variety of diagnoses and multiple disabilities, in addition to emotional and behavioral issues. About the ** 2 days per week (can chose any days Mon-Fri) 8:30am-2pm School (Ages 3-21) IDDThe Licensed Clinical Social Worker *** Provide individual, group, and family therapy for students and their families related to the students disabling condition and according to their IEPMake recommendations for changes in the delivery of counseling servicesAssist in the recommendations of Psychological Services in reference to interdisciplinary team responsibilities with classroom personnelWrite IEP goals, objectives, and progress reports in reference to counseling servicesComplete Medicaid paperwork for IEP mandated counseling servicesCollaborate with the Behavioral Services in conducting behavioral evaluations to assess ways of treating students behavioral problemsPerform psychological evaluations in order to determine students level of cognitive and social/adaptive functioning**Must have LCSWProficient written skillsHigh level of communication skillsTeam-orientedStrong interpersonal skillsDesired **Previous experience working with pediatrics and developmental disabilities
