Merlette is hiring a Brand Manager to join us at an exciting moment, as we open our newly established headquarters in New York. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a thoughtful, fast-growing brand through its next phase of expansion.Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales, the Brand Manager will be responsible for delivering a consistent and elevated customer experience across all digital and physical touchpoints. This cross-functional role oversees e-commerce operations, manages drop ship and supports wholesale partnerships, leads PR and brand visibility efforts, and ensures high-touch service for both private clients and online customers.About MerletteMerlette New York embodies effortless elegance and timeless sophistication. With inspiration drawn from the vibrant energy of New York City, we create refined, minimalist designs for the modern woman.Key ResponsibilitiesE-Commerce ManagementOversee site merchandising and e-commerce operations, ensuring a visually compelling and intuitive experienceLead product launches, including site imports, categorization, and visual merchandisingConduct daily site maintenance for product visibility, inventory accuracy, and performance optimizationTrack and manage inventory flow to ensure timely availability at the warehouseAudit and resolve issues across PDPs, PLPs, and customer-facing functionalityImprove UX through optimized search, related product suggestions, and "wear-it-with" featuresCollaborate on site enhancements with developers and conduct QA testing across platformsAnalyze KPIs including traffic, conversion rate, AOV, return rate, and product performancePR & Brand VisibilityManage ongoing PR outreach and relationships with publications and editorsCoordinate product gifting, asset delivery, and press placementsHost seasonal press days and private showroom appointmentsEnsure consistency in brand storytelling across communications and campaignsSupport and execute in-store events and activationsDrop Ship Partner ManagementAct as primary contact for drop ship partners, handling uploads, inventory sync, samples, and customer supportManage seasonal buys, markdown planning, and performance reporting aligned with brand goalsWholesale SupportSupport VP of Sales during market appointments and seasonal line reviewsPrepare line sheets, samples, and performance dataConduct outreach to prospective wholesale partners and maintain existing relationshipsAssist with backend coordination, order tracking, and sales asset creationClient Experience & Customer ServiceHost private client appointments in the Tribeca showroom, providing personalized styling and an elevated experienceManage scheduling, inventory coordination, and showroom preparationRespond to all customer inquiries with timely, thoughtful communication aligned with brand voiceOffer one-on-one styling support and tailored outreach to lapsed customersIdentify customer pain points and communicate insights to internal teamsCollaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless service and resolve any order issuesCross-Functional OperationsMake data-driven recommendations for inventory replenishment, markdowns, and product lifecycle planningCoordinate between customer service feedback and marketing/ops teamsWork with warehouse and logistics on fulfillment, returns, and adherence to brand packaging standardsManage budgets related to e-commerce and marketing operations, including invoice processing and expense trackingQualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent in Marketing3+ years' experience in brand management or marketing, ideally in fashion or apparelProficiency with Shopify; familiarity with JOOR, Apparel Magic, Mirakl, or ShipHero is a plusStrong aesthetic sensibility with technical skills to manage a cohesive brand presenceExperience in social media planning, affiliate marketing, digital advertising, and SEOComfortable coordinating with agencies and delivering compelling campaign assetsExcellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilitiesBenefitsComprehensive medical coverage and 401 (k) matchingGenerous clothing allowance and vacation packageCreative, collaborative environment with opportunities for growthOpportunities for travel to support seasonal markets and events.Location: New York, NYMerlette is an equal opportunity employer.
