Job Description

Ensure corporate compliance with all regulatory aspects of our product categories, including chemical, mechanical and product safety. Keep work teams and vendors informed of updates that will impact products under development or will require reformulation of existing products. Develop actionable roll-out plans and guidance for execution.**Knowledge of current and up-coming regulatory landscape, especially as it applies to children's products & componentsHave a clear understanding all regulatory expectations from any government agency as it pertains to apparel.Develop informational network via relationships with 3rd party service providers, AAFA, CPSC, etc.Maintain appropriate checkpoints on children's product safety program with product reviews, clearly documented policies, , specifications, and proceduresEstablish process and calendar to identify and evaluate risks in the product life cycleProvide reporting to management relative to regulatory riskDevelop and maintain a system of communication for the sharing of relevant information on product safety and regulatory compliance throughout the organizationEvaluate and update protocols as required to ensure all safety and regulatory requirements are coveredAssess compliance with state chemical reporting requirements and report as requiredPartner with testing team members to review seasonal testing for all children's programs.Collaborate internally on actions required for any testing failure. Follow up with supplier on necessary corrective action as needed.Collaborate and partner with field team on supporting safety initiatives (i.e. metal detection) and vendor PSO (Product Safety Office) trainingDrive opportunities for training and knowledge bank for internal teamsImplement and manage corporate chemical management and RSL programs**7-10 years in product compliance role or testing environmentBachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g. apparel, textile, chemistry) preferred.Ability to interpret, explain and implement applicable regulations, standards and protocolsAbility to influence and gain support from cross-functional areasProficiency in Microsoft Office suiteStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in group settings with colleagues and clientsExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasksAnnual salary starting at $85,000.The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
