Candidates must be confident in Facebook/Instagram (including ads and lead generation), design platforms like Canva, email platforms like Constant Contact, and hold a strong interest in serving people.Having served in the tourism industry is a plus.Individuals holding an Associates/Bachelor's degree is a plus.Company DescriptionCountry Travel Discoveries (CTD) is a group tour operator that offers handcrafted and meticulously planned vacation experiences across the U.S. and abroad. Launched in 2012, CTD has continued the tradition of avoiding crowded tourist destinations, preferring back roads, cultural attractions, and local stops - many arranged with area hosts exclusively for us. Our team prioritizes finding unique experiences that travelers can't get on their own. Job SummaryThis position will work under the direction of the CTD President and handle various tasks, including but not limited to, creative writing, content creation, designing catalog mailings, database entry/mailing list management, website updates, email marketing, social media advertising, metric reporting, and more. A successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of marketing strategy.Primary Role ResponsibilitiesCreates a monthly marketing strategy to selling upcoming toursWrites print pieces including letters, postcards, catalogs, and blog postsBuilds bi-weekly emails using Constant ContactDesigns graphics using Canva and other platformsBuilds social media posts/stories for Facebook and InstagramCreates a yearly marketing budget and processes/tracks invoicesDelivers quarterly ROI and analytic updates to the CTD PresidentUnderstands how to leverage AI for marketing purposesPulls mailing lists using our reservations database, Centaur, and cleans the data in ExcelUnderstands social media reels and can create video contentAmends our CTD website to update new tour contentEdits print pieces in Adobe (like the CTD catalog) with the support of our Graphic DesignerProperly and professionally represents CTD with travelers on the roadPerforms other duties as assignedRequirementsExceptional writing and editing skills: Must be a strong writer with the ability to adjust their style to meet the tone of our company brandDetail Oriented: Cognizant of details and ensures proper tour information is publishedExcellent communication: Is able to articulate CTD's mission and brand with confidence and passionKnowledge of Marketing Platforms: Proficient in Canva, Adobe, Constant Contact, Facebook/Instagram, and other related programsMicrosoft Office Proficiency: Extensive knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPublic Speaking: Comfortable creating and giving presentations to small and large groups with the CTD PresidentAbility to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Remains organized while managing multiple projects at onceInnovative: Creatively presents new marketing strategies and generates proactive solutions to selling toursReliable and Positive: Has a hard-working mentality and prioritizes supporting their team by showing up for work each day with a joyful attitudeIntegrity: Values honesty and handles sensitive traveler information with integrityWillingness to Travel: Ability to travel (domestic and/or abroad) 1-3 weeks per yearKnowledge of Travel: Understands world geography and top destinationsLanguagesStrong command of written and oral EnglishContactAndrea Brooks at Andrea.brooks@ ***Please apply on LinkedIn, as well as email the hiring manager - Andrea Brooks - an introductory email with an answer to the following question on a real-life marketing scenario:Country Travel Discoveries has a tour with 10 spots sold and we need to get to 12 to run the departure.
