Dental Hygienist

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team in a modern office located in Simsbury, CT. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dentist in various procedures.ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to remove plaque and tartar.Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.Ensure infection control protocols are followed, utilizing aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.Collaborate with dental assistants to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic.60 minutes recall patients, 90 minutes for new patients. Single column schedule, no double bookings. Private office, NON-DSO.RequirementsProven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques.Proficiency in four-handed dentistry practices is highly desirable.Strong patient assessment skills with attention to detail.Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software is a plus.Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.Join us in providing exceptional dental care while making a positive impact on our patients lives!Job ***** Full-time***** $48.00 - $52.00 per hourExpected ***** 24-32 per week (flexible schedule)Office ***** Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8-5pm.
