Our team is currently looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer serviceAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you are directly responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems in a food processing environment.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform visual inspections of machinery and equipment to identify defects such as breakage or excessive wearTroubleshoot and repair production or processing equipment, with a focus on modern automated systemsDiagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, implement effective solutions, and ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activitiesIdentify and respond to unusual machine noises or malfunctions to prevent downtimeWork closely with fellow maintenance technicians and engineering staff to resolve technical problemsDismantle malfunctioning equipment and install new or repaired components as neededClean, lubricate, and maintain parts including shafts, bearings, and gears to ensure smooth operationSupport operation and maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia, and other critical systemsInstall and repair electrical components such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, and machine wiringMaintain and repair the physical structures of production equipment and facilitiesOperate welding and cutting equipment for repair and fabrication tasksConduct routine preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize unexpected breakdownsRead and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and equipment manualsDemonstrate the ability to work independently, showing initiative and self-motivationRegularly operate and maintain material handling equipmentThrive in a fast-paced, industrial environment with heavy machinery and production equipment
