Job Title: Professional Engineer - Water Resources and Stormwater ManagementLocation: Atlanta and surrounding areas.Overview:Our client, a well-established DBE engineering firm with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a Project Engineer with a background in water resources and stormwater management. This role focuses on creating design plans and exhibits for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional site/land development projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, working through planning, permitting, and construction processes with jurisdictional agencies in the Baltimore metropolitan region. The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, be self-driven, and be able to integrate within a collaborative team to meet client needs while adhering to regulatory constraints.Responsibilities:Lead site layout and design for various land development projects.Design utilities, including storm drains, water, and sewer systems, and have knowledge of conduit and dry utility systems.Perform site grading designs that comply with ADA regulations.Develop and design stormwater management systems and erosion and sediment control plans.Work closely with project managers to establish project timelines, design criteria, and client deliverables.Prepare design specifications, diagrams, and visual aids to support the design process.Execute engineering projects based on outlined criteria, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly with stormwater management and stormwater design plans.Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong working knowledge of industry-standard software.Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a solid foundation in design.Preferred Experience:Familiarity with MicroStation and Civil 3D.Education:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.Benefits:Company-paid Mental Health program.401(k) with match.Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.$25,000 Company-paid Life insurance.Supplemental Life and Disability insurance.Paid time off and Paid Parental Leave.Professional Development Assistance.Referral program.Tuition reimbursement.Equal Opportunity Employer:Our client is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
