Technician, Warranty & Field ServiceJob SummaryThe Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of MV and HV Switchgear, STATCOM, and ESS HICO America products.Job Description• Read and interpret schematic drawings• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues• Willing to work overtime (including weekends) at the Field Service Manager's direction• Required to travel to perform field service assignments as directed by management.• Create and maintain field service reports and documentation• Maintain service equipment, general housekeeping and warehouse activities including loading and offloading of material, cleaning work areas, and keeping field service equipment organized• Maintain communication with customers, employees, and management.• Be able to pass a random drug and alcohol test• Ability to obtain a passport and be willing to travel out of country on rare occasionsExperience Requirements• Ability to read and interpret AC and DC schematic drawings• Experience in wiring, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical• Experience using cranes and forklifts• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use common hand tools• Basic computer skills, Microsoft office products• HVAC working knowledge would be beneficialEducational Requirements• 2 year associate or a specialized degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Electrical/Mechanical Technology or 3 years related experience working in substations or a switchgear manufacturing facility.IndustryElectrical & Electronic ManufacturingEmployment TypeFull-timeHICO America provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
