The ideal candidate will ultimately be responsible for establishing and reviewing process controls, emphasizing customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and waste reduction. You must enjoy working in a team environment and will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive change on our team!What you will be doing:Establish and track Quality department goals and objectivesDetermine Quality department standards, practices, and proceduresEstablish and maintain product Quality StandardsTrack external customer Quality issues, e.g. concerns, rejections, PPM, and 8D problem solvingTrack internal customer Quality issues, e.g. Rejection Tags and Process AlertsTrack supplier Quality issues and performanceSupport plant safety procedures and safety policiesDirect QA personnel regarding performance and material testingAllocate Quality resources to project teams, programs, and manufacturing process improvement teamsAssist in daily review of production quality performanceAssist Production to achieve effective and efficient production of quality partsSchedule and chair regular Quality Review meetings to Appraise Management of Quality Dept. issues to ensure suitability and effectiveness of Quality SystemWork with Engineering to develop project launch strategy, capital needs, program timing in support of all APQP, PPAP, MSA and TS-16949 requirementsWork with Quality Engineers and Quality Coordinators to document trends in quality, compare against customer standards and plant goalsSupport advance Quality activities, elements and schedulesRepresents plant at the customer in the area of QualityDevelop short- and long-term strategy to support customer requirements, as requiredWhat you will bring along:Bachelors degree in related field preferred5+ years of related experience in QualityLeadership experience Proven ability to develop and coach team members effectivelyAutomotive industry experienceExtensive experience in product launchesExperience analyzing data, identifying and consolidating the necessary information for various purposes, and presenting the information to leadership and customersAbility to identify urgent or emerging problems, develop alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in the timely implementation of corrective actions.Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, global team environmentsAbility to navigate, build, and maintain strong customer and supplier relationshipsProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OutlookWhat we can provide you:Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage on day 1Tuition Reimbursement ProgramsGenerous 401(k) MatchRobust Employee Assistance Program ServicesIndividualized Developmental OpportunitiesMuch More!
