We have not only consistently expanded our machinery, but we also employ the very best workers who are experts in their fields.Visit our website: What You Will Do:Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance tasks. Daily functions will be highly diversified and may include observing devices in operation to locate root cause of issue; dismantling machines to gain access to and remove defective parts; examine defective parts to detect cause, adjustment of functional parts of machines and control instruments; repair and/or replacement as needed, testing of machines to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machining tools; maintain, troubleshoot, or repair equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the organization's business goals and objectives.Essential Duties and Tasks:Perform general electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipmentTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic production equipment Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate testing devices Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systemsAbility to weld as needed (ARC, MIG, or TIG)Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity. Working on damaged electrical wiring or installing newPerform mechanical skills, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of machineryWork from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose problems. Operate various platform lifts, including but not limited to forklifts, aerial lifts, and scissor liftsOperate overhead crane when necessary Use a variety of hand/power tools and material handling equipment in performing dutiesFix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries Follow lockout tagout protocol as requiredAssists other maintenance staff with necessary maintenance and repairs as required. Responds to daily facility work orders and works on special projects Diligence to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and that any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlookedEffective communication and people skillsPerforming cleaning activities as needed Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelinesOperate with situational awareness, identify unsafe behaviors and conditions, and communicate concerns to managementMaintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties and keeps work area free from hazards Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentAbility to operate autonomously and self-directGood and reliable attendance and a team-player attitude are necessary Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPEPerform under AS9100 standards Physical Conditions: Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to thirty-five pounds regularly Standing or walking at least 95% of the scheduled shift Routinely perform reaching overhead / at or below shoulder level, twisting, bending, crouching, kneeling, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materialsAbility to perform fine and gross manipulationAbility to operate foot or leg controls Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, or scaffoldingNear, Far, or Peripheral visual Acuity naturally or with corrective lensesAbility to speak to express or exchange ideas or discuss work instructionsAbility to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, e.g., machinery alarms, equipment troubleshooting, management instruction, and operator feedback on issues needing maintenance or repairSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to pass annual vision test as requiredQualifications, Education, and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredCompletion of a maintenance certificate program from either a two-year college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is requiredKnowledge of CNC machines, distributed control systems, and logic controllers requiredUnderstanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systemsAbility to work with low voltage systems Experience with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) work preferredTroubleshooting / critical thinking skillsMust meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. personHealth and Safety:The safety and well-being of every employee are a top priority at Hi Tek Manufacturing.
