Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia's busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities within one of the SR400 segments. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role ensures that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will lead field teams, manage subcontractors, and serve as a key point of contact for technical and operational matters.Job DescriptionTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, staging, MOT, and resource allocation.Ensure proper planning and timely execution of project activities across disciplines.Manage project budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.Review and approve invoices and payment applications, ensuring financial integrity and alignment with project budgets.Track project performance and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain schedule and budget targets.Supervise and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure quality and productivity.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.Enforce adherence to contract terms, technical specifications, and GDOT requirements.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance.Oversee testing and inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with standards.Maintain accurate and complete project documentation for regulatory and contractual compliance.Identify and mitigate project risks, including delays, safety hazards, and quality concerns.Support project closeout activities, including punch list resolution and final documentation.Required Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.Proven experience managing infrastructure or transportation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership.Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, building codes, and regulatory standards.Familiarity with GDOT specifications, AASHTO/FHWA standards, and Design-Build delivery methods.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar credential is highly desirable.ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in US, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the companys commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
