Purpose: At DASI, the Vice President of Quality is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing and maintaining quality management systems, processes, and standards to ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of DASI's operations and products. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, and aviation industry standards. The Vice President of Quality Assurance plays a critical role in promoting a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.Key accountabilities: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in aviation quality assurance. Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, certifications, and standards set forth by regulatory agencies such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).Establish and communicate quality policies, procedures, and guidelines to all levels of the organization, ensuring understanding and adherence to quality standards and expectations.Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and drive corrective and preventive actions as needed.Develop and maintain supplier quality management processes, including supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring, to ensure the quality of materials, components, and services procured for operations.Oversee product quality assurance processes, including inspection, testing, and validation of aircraft, components, parts, and systems to ensure they meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain a Safety Management System (SMS) to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks associated with aviation operations, fostering a proactive approach to safety management.Provide training and education programs to employees on quality management principles, procedures, and tools, promoting a culture of quality awareness and accountability.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance, efficiency, and effectiveness across all areas of aviation operations, leveraging quality metrics, feedback, and data-driven insights.Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction metrics to assess the quality of aviation products and services, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to address customer concerns.Perform all other duties as assigned.Key skills and competences:Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools, such as root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), statistical process control (SPC), and Six Sigma.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is highly desirable.Experience and qualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Aviation Management, or related field. Masters degree preferred.Extensive experience (15+ years) in quality management, with a focus on aviation or aerospace industry.Experience with aviation safety management systems (SMS) and aviation incident investigation processes is a plus.Proven track record of leadership in successfully developing, implementing, and managing quality management systems and processes in complex organizations.Deep understanding of aviation regulations, certifications, and standards, including but not limited to FAA regulations, EASA regulations, ISO 9001, AS9100, and other quality management standards.DASI, LLC. and group companies are an Equal Opportunities Employer
