The Real Estate Development Analyst/Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting the full lifecycle of real estate projects"”from acquisition and development through stabilization and long-term asset performance.This position bridges development execution with asset management strategy, ensuring that projects are not only delivered on time and within budget but also optimized for long-term value and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopmentAssist in sourcing and evaluating new development opportunities, including site selection, feasibility studies, and financial modeling.Support due diligence efforts, including market research, zoning analysis, and coordination with legal, design, and construction teams.Prepare and maintain detailed pro formas, sensitivity analyses, and investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure project designs meet financial and operational objectives.Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying and addressing variances proactively.Captial MarketsAssist in sourcing, structuring, and executing debt and equity transactions for acquisitions, developments, and refinancing initiatives.Prepare comprehensive financing packages, including offering memoranda and investor presentations.Analyze market trends, interest rates, and economic indicators to inform financing strategies.Manage communications with investors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.Asset ManagementOversee the performance of stabilized assets, analyzing operational data to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and expense reduction.Collaborate with property management teams to develop and implement business plans, including leasing strategies and capital improvement programs.Prepare regular asset performance reports, highlighting key metrics such as occupancy rates, rental income, and return on investment.Conduct market analyses to inform rent pricing, tenant retention strategies, and competitive positioning.Assist in the disposition process, including valuation, marketing, and coordination with brokers and potential buyers.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure alignment across all phases of the project lifecycle.Participate in investor presentations and reporting, providing insights into both development progress and asset performance.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Experience: 2-5 years of experience in real estate development, asset management, or related areas.Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel), resourceful research skills and strong analytical abilitiesCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Organizational Skills: Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Preferred AttributesExperience with multifamily or mixed-use developments.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and value creation.
