About the CompanyThis is an entry level position offering exposure to the exciting, rapidly growing Telecom Fiber Broadband business. A significant amount of federal government money has been made available to provide Fiber Optic, Broadband Internet Service to all unserved homes in the United States. This project will take up to ten years to complete.About the RoleTelecommunications Fielder reports field conditions for design engineers to accurately design outside plant fiber broadband networks. Technician will be responsible for aerial and underground data collection that requires extended periods of time walking outdoors in both urban and rural settings.ResponsibilitiesAbility to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams.Recording relevant data by identifying, measuring, and logging existing field conditions for fiber optic facilities and other underground or aerial utilities.Work outdoors along public right of way, utility easements, and private property.QualificationsEntry level position.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Qualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving recordValid driver's license requiredRequired SkillsRequires outdoor site visits in various weather conditions remote work.Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.Competency with Smart Phones and Tablets.Preferred SkillsCommitment to learning and advancement in the field.Pay range and compensation packageAttractive benefits package.Opportunity StatementThis position offers the opportunity to understand and learn about this exciting technology.
