Job Title: Health And Safety CoordinatorLocation: Midtown ManhattanJob SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Health And Safety Coordinator to support our safety and compliance initiatives. Reporting directly to the EHS Manager and Risk Manager, this role will work closely with project teams, and legal/claims contacts to ensure seamless coordination across safety, documentation, and risk management efforts. While based in the office, the Compliance Clerk will be expected to visit job sites as needed to conduct inspections, meet with project teams, support incident reviews, and perform other field"related tasks in support of company operations.ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance & ViolationsTrack and maintain all DOB, DOT, NYPD, and DEP violationsCoordinate with compliance management firms on violation status, affidavits, and Certificates of Correction (COCs)Prepare and process regulatory forms including Affidavits of Ultimate Equivalence (AUEs)Ensure timely follow"up on hearings, violation penalties, and related documentationCirculate DOB service updates and maintain compliance logsClaims & Incident SupportMaintain and update internal trackers for all incidents, claims (GL, WC), and first aid reportsCoordinate documentation gathering for insurance claims and adjuster inspectionsSupport communication with insurance brokers, adjusters, and legal teamsArchive and organize incident evidence (photos, reports, correspondence)Track and follow up on outstanding claims and legal documentation requestsAdministrative & Safety Program SupportScan, label, and organize all safety"related documents on company serversMaintain orientation packets, sticker logs, and emergency contact formsTrack and assist with PPE, uniforms, and safety signage inventory/ordersAssist with internal safety event planning (e.g. Safety Week, Super Meetings)Support safety newsletter content and training documentation coordinationProject Setup & CoordinationAssist with initial project compliance setup and coordinate onboarding procedures for new projectsEnsure project teams are equipped with onboarding software and compliance trainingHelp prepare safety binders and ensure required safety documents are posted and updatedSupport JHA tracking and collection from subcontractors (in collaboration with APMs)Coordinate prequalification documentation requirements for clients, ensuring timely and accurate submissionsProfessional Qualifications & ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications.1-3 years in construction administration, or related fieldFamiliarity with general liability, workers compensation, and property damage claimsStrong administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detailAbility to manage and track safety documentationAbility to coordinate with internal departments (Project Management, Field Ops)Strong communication skills for working with insurance reps, legal counsel, and subcontractorsPreferred Qualifications:Experience handling incident reports, insurance claims, and legal documentationUnderstanding of contractual risk transfer and additional insured requirementsFamiliarity with construction safety standards (OSHA, NYC DOB) is a plusExperience with platforms like Procore or similar project management/safety toolsBachelor's degree in business or a related field
