Project Control Specialist

Are you a detail-driven project controls specialist looking to make an impact in LA's most transformative public infrastructure projects?BW Talent Solutions is hiring a Project Controls Specialist III on behalf of Advance Management Inc., a leading construction management firm with long-term contracts on high-value public sector projects across Los Angeles. In this role, you'll be embedded at client sites overseeing major construction programs in sectors like education and aviation, ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, and compliance from planning to closeout.What You'll Do:Manage and track multi-source capital project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost reporting.Lead EAC reviews, variance analysis, and proactive financial risk mitigation with PMO teams.Oversee Estimates to Complete (ETCs), task orders, change orders, PBAs, and vendor requests.Participate in cost-related change management, risk assessments, and scheduled construction meetings.Reconcile month-end data, conduct trend analysis, and develop financial dashboards and reports.Support project documentation processes including budget transfers, closeouts, requisitions, and amendments.Use systems like Proliance, Deltek Costpoint, and advanced Excel for financial and cost control reporting.What We're Looking **5-10 years' experience in program/project controls on construction programs.BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related (or equivalent experience).Experience across the full project lifecycle in large-scale construction.Strong grasp of cost/schedule management, earned value, forecasting, and risk analysis.Ability to communicate clearly and present data to management confidently.Adaptability, collaboration, and professionalism under pressure.Must be eligible to work in the United States.Preferred *Experience in educational or public sector construction.Advanced Excel + experience with Proliance, data warehouses, or large capital program systems.Benefits & ****Hybrid Work - 1 remote day per weekMedical, Dental, and Vision fully covered12 Paid Holidays | 5 Sick Days | 5 PTO Days$50 Cell Phone Stipend per pay period
