The right candidate will be a forward-thinking defender, continuously evolving with the cybersecurity landscape to safeguard our digital environment.Job DescriptionAs an Information Systems Security Engineer, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of safeguarding the organizations digital assets. Your role will require you to maintain and enhance the security tools that are pivotal to the agencys cyber defense strategy. You will be expected to have a strong command of ePolicy Orchestrator, Nessus, and Splunk, as these tools will be integral to your daily operations. Your expertise will also extend to managing Sentris for network security, and you will be involved in leveraging Azure cloud services and Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines will be essential to ensure that security measures are seamlessly integrated into the development lifecycle.In addition to tool proficiency, your role will involve providing comprehensive system baseline reports to the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). These reports are crucial for the ISSO to gain insights into the current security posture and to make informed decisions. You will be the frontline defense in identifying and reporting any unapproved changes to the system baseline, ensuring that the organizations security standards are uncompromised.
