In this critical, client-facing leadership role, you will drive new business initiatives, build and manage relationships, and strategically grow the firms opportunities within the federal construction sector.Responsibilities include:Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the federal construction marketCultivate relationships with government agencies, contractors, and industry partnersWork closely with Proposal Manager and Senior Leadership to strategize and pursue targeted opportunitiesRepresent the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking functionsMaintain a strong understanding of the federal construction landscape to position the company competitivelyPotential to grow and lead the Business Development department over timeProfile5+ years of business development experience in the construction industryFederal construction background with a proven understanding of secure project environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skills - polished, professional, and comfortable in high-level client interactionsAbility to apply for and pass an extensive background check (active or prior clearance is a strong plus)Strategic, self-motivated, and results-driven mindsetTeam-player mentality, willing to collaborate with leadership and operational teamsFamiliarity with construction technologies/software is welcomed but not requiredJob OfferBase Salary: $130,000+ (commensurate with experience)Annual Bonus: Up to 20%401(k) plan with company contributionMileage reimbursementHybrid schedule flexibility (1 day remote per week)Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePTO and paid holidaysOpportunity for departmental growth and leadership advancementMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individuals status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
