This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about defending the rights of businesses in workers compensation claims. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling all aspects of workers compensation defense litigation. This includes conducting depositions, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals. Our team prides itself on maintaining a supportive environment that values hard work, professionalism, and client service.Responsibilities:1. Handle all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation including discovery, depositions, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals.2. Provide legal analysis and advice; prepare and file legal pleadings and documents; represent the corporation in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.3. Interact with the client and maintain excellent client relations.4. Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.5. Prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials.6. Draft, review, and negotiate significant, complex legal documents and agreements.7. Conduct and defend depositions.8. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including the ability to interface at the executive level.9. Manage a full caseload from case inception through post-trial/resolution.Qualifications:1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.2. Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.3. Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in workers' compensation defense litigation.4. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a large caseload.5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.10. Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and a positive attitude.11. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.12.
