Product Specialist - Screw Press and Screens

Primary FunctionThe primary function of the Product Specialist is to support profitable growth of the Andritz service business for their designated product group in the region.Reporting StructureThe Product Specialist reports locally to the Manager of the Service Product Group and globally to the Service Product Manager.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Area Sales Managers with product knowledge, technical expertise and pricingSupport the back offices (inside Sales, Purchasing, Project Management) with parts identification, vendor information, costing and pricingSupport the Field Service Group with technical expertise, troubleshooting and costingSupport Engineering with design information, historical reference, project review and design reviewSupport customers with troubleshooting, problem resolution and performance improvement recommendationsTravel with the Area Sales Managers to identify, develop and close sales opportunitiesDevelop strategies to grow service business in the regionProvide training materials and product training to field sales, back office personnel and customersProvide technical, sales and service bulletins and other information to develop the knowledge of the Andritz service groupProvide input for development of the product regionally and globally (Marketing materials, R&D, problem solving, cost reduction, business growth etc.)Develop enhanced and new service offerings in the regionMaintain product related technical informationImplement and support global product strategies within the regionCoordinate / Project Manage complex service offeringsConduct equipment and system inspectionsSupport and develop competitor repair businessTravelThe Product Specialist will travel 25 to 50% of the time in support of sales, field service and customers.Education and ExperienceB.S. Degree in Engineering or 5 -10 years relevant hands on product experience Process Experience in one or more of the following ***** Environmental Wastewater, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Mining or Food.Sales or sales support experienceWillingness to travel (overnight travel will be required)
