MANAGER, QUALITY ASSURANCE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the General Manager, the Manager, Quality Assurance will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across their facility in Connecticut. The Manager, Quality Assurance will lead and manage a team of 20+ quality engineers and inspectors. They will drive innovative, cost-effective quality improvements, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards.The position will be based out of Windsor, Connecticut. RESPONSBILITIES Quality Management Leadership: Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in quality assurance processes throughout the organization.Ensure performance of KPIs that drive action and produce sustainable results.Regulatory Compliance:Stay abreast of all relevant aerospace regulations and standards to ensure the companys compliance with EASA, FAA, ICAO, ANAC, DGCA, JCAB, CAACCollaborate with regulatory bodies and certification agencies to maintain and enhance industry certifications.Process Optimization:Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements in quality assurance processes - certifying ISO 9001:2015, 9100: 2018, AS9100D and AS9110C - Quality Management Systems - Aerospace - Requirements for Maintenance Operations.Lead the quality department to implement improvements and drive operational excellence.Partner with engineering and key stakeholders to drive quality into the design process to ensure defect free products throughout their lifecycle.Supplier Quality Management:Oversee the development and maintenance of robust supplier quality management programs.Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.Risk Management:Develop and maintain a proactive approach to quality issues, ensuring timely resolution.Team Leadership and Development:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality assurance team.Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth within the quality assurance department.YEAR ONE CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORSThe following critical success factors represent those deemed most critical to be accomplished in year one to ensure success:Establish strong, trust-based working relationships with the leadership team, peers, and their own team, leading to improved cultural and overall morale. Collaborate with site leadership to develop and implement astrategy to reduce the number of quality escapes.Transform the quality organization at the Connecticut site by proactively diagnosing and effectively addressing the cost of poor quality.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSAn undergraduate degree in engineering, business, or another relevant area, ideally complemented by a graduate degree.Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the aviation, aerospace, or defense industry.In-Depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards, regulations, and certification processes. Proven experience in leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives. AS9145 APQP/PAPP and Lean certification highly preferred.Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.SE# 510721097
