OT is to be expected, but is not always mandatory. They will work an average of 50 hours a week. They will be conducting truck inspections on the garbage trucks and documenting any maintenance/repairs that is needed. They will also fill out the preventative maintenance forms and any other documents necessary. This position also requires the ability to perform very minor maintenance repairs such as lightbulbs, grip belts, hydraulic lines, etc.*Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicles mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions.Areas of equipment maintenance may ** Vehicle PM inspections and adjustments; Oil changes and fluids replenishment; Adjustments and light repairs including tire changes; and Basic electrical work, such as light changes; Conducts visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and identify the sources of malfunctions using a variety of tools.Making very minor repairs, primarily conducting inspections on the trucksFilling out preventative maintenance forms & documenting repairs needed to be completedCompletes applicable Company training programs.Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
