Senior Manager, SEC ReportingSummary:Responsible for preparation and review of SEC filings including MD&A and footnote disclosures. Successful candidates will have extensive technical accounting skills, a professional approach, and strong communication skills.Relationship & Scope:The Manager, Financial Reporting will report to the AVP, SEC Reporting and is a pivotal member of the team responsible for SEC filings. The Manager will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including financial analysts, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.Major Duties & Responsibilities:Assist in the review of all SEC filings including financial statements, footnotes, disclosures and supporting documentationBe accountable for various analytical and reporting responsibilities that include the ability to work within finance and other departmentsRecognize, research, and resolve SEC reporting and general accounting issuesProvide supervision and support financial analysts with their responsibilitiesAnalyze technical accounting topics and propose conclusionsAssist in XBRL reporting for all SEC filings, which includes researching tags and staying up-to-to-date with new taxonomyAssist with the implementation of FASB projects and standardsTechnical Skills:Bachelor's degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance CPA designation preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent computer skills with an ability to learn accounting softwareAbility to multi-task and prioritize deadlinesStrong organizational skills and proven ability to work independentlyMicrosoft Word and Excel experience requiredProven problem solving skillsRequired Personal Skills:Team player with customer service orientationProfessional attitude, appearance and demeanorStrong time management and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven leadership experience in an academic or business settingEnthusiastic self-starterDemonstrates integrity and dedication Chubb is a world leader in insurance.
