Volt is immediately hiring Facility HVAC Technician in Pittsburgh, PA.As a Facility HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for:Duties and Responsibilities:The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining the companys buildings, facilities and equipment in an operating and functional condition.Duties may include any of the following: electrical repairs or installations, fleet repairs, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting and plastering, masonry, machine servicing, and general mechanical maintenance (e.g. Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning or HVAC and sheet metal).Under general supervision, performs tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance, determines nature of problem, and recommends appropriate solution.Coordinates the day-to-day operations of a group of employees.Leads and directs by assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work.Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.Coordinates work with outside contractors.Assures code and building standards are met.Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.Work in a team environment on pressing facility related maintenance issues to include performing tasks such as mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, etc., as the needs arise.Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility systems.Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.Reviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc).Assists in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required.Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Works with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule.Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.Skills:High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent experience.3+ years experience in the field of mechanical maintenance and plumbing.Hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical building systems.Systems experience should include areas such as: plumbing, steam and hot water boilers, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems.This is a Full-Time, Contract opportunity.Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30 pm-M-FDuration: 12+ MonthsLocation: Pittsburgh, PA Pay Rate: $33 to $35 per hour on W2.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidates education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
