Prevention Specialist CAC

The Preventative Specialist primary duty is to present child abuse prevention programming to parents, educators, and students in school districts within the assigned county. They are responsible for the development, organization, and presentation of training for multidisciplinary team members, child serving agencies, and community members.This is a full-time, benefit eligible position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm with occasional evening and/or weekend hours. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC:Provide child abuse prevention programs in school districts within the assigned countyIdentifies the needs for training within identified countiesDevelops, organizes, and presents training in the area of child abuse issues to MDT members, child serving agencies, and community organizationsConducts and grades Post-Tests for individuals receiving trainingsKeeps organized records of all trainings provided, including post-test scoresProvides timely statistics for Prevention Program attendees to Executive Director, upon requestAssists in grant writing process to secure funding for Prevention ProgramAssists in CAC fundraising effortsAssists the Executive Director as neededAll other duties as assigned Bachelors Degree (four year or technical school) in Social services or other related field preferred.QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:One (1) plus years of experience with social services or related field preferredMaintain Missouri Mandated reporter training each yearAttend Missouri ChildFirst training upon hiring requiredA valid drivers license and agency established minimum automobile coverage requiredCompass Health Network is a nonprofit health care organization offering accessible, comprehensive, & compassionate behavioral health, substance use treatment, family medicine and dental services throughout Missouri.
