***** Columbus Ohio Area (Remote with travel)Job Description SummaryThe field technician is responsible for providing service and customer support during repair or maintenance visits. Manages all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing tasks. Completes service and installation documentation including a trip report for every service intervention.Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing systems that may include hardware and software components.Advises customers on operation procedures and requirements of systems.Communicate effectively in person to assist and train customers and partners.Tests & verify the functionality of the equipment installed for optimal performance.Document processes and complete required documentation such as SATs, Vocs, Trip, reports and expenses reports.Assistance with the set-up of customer demonstrations and exhibitions (i.e., trade shows).Supports customers either remotely or in the office via either email or phone with the goal of troubleshooting and solving customers' requests, including but not limited to RMA processes.Required Qualifications Through knowledge of electrical/electronic and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.Education, Experience, and Knowledge Two-year technical degree or apprenticeship program or equivalent in a technical or military field. 3 to 5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronic and mechanical fields.Computer /MS Office knowledgeTravel is required 90% of the time.
