Mechanical RepairerHourly ***** $32.45***** Latrobe, PAA leading manufacturer of high-performance specialty alloys serving aerospace, energy, and other demanding industries is seeking a skilled Mechanical Repairer to join its team. This role supports a large-scale metals production facility with a long-standing legacy of excellence in metals technology.Primary **Receive instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs, installations, and inspections.Read and interpret prints and sketches to guide work.Inspect equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, or insufficient lubrication.Determine appropriate repair strategies to minimize production downtime.Perform welding and cutting using stick welding and oxygen-acetylene torches for equipment and structural repairs.Dismantle, clean, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment.Assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts using press, sliding, and running fits.Operate basic machine tools (e.g., drill press, pipe threader, power saw).Perform rigging and erect scaffolds as needed.Set up and adjust equipment in line with production schedules.Operate high lifts, radio-controlled floor cranes, or pickup trucks as required.Maintain safe fluid and gas levels; report any maintenance needs.Keep work area clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.High School Diploma or GED.Must meet safety requirements for fall protection.Direct hands-on experience with stick welding and cutting.Ability to safely handle oxygen-acetylene torches.Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hydraulics.Compensation & **Hourly **** $32.45Comprehensive benefits *****Medical, dental, and vision coverageLife and disability insuranceFlexible spending accounts (FSA)401(k) with company contributionsAdditional employee support options
